The core formula is simple: flight time (min) = battery (Ah) ÷ average current (A) × 60 × usable fraction. A 1300mAh pack is 1.3Ah, so at 22A average it lasts about 3.5 minutes flat out — but a LiPo should never be run to empty. Leaving a 20% reserve gives a safe FPV drone flight time of roughly 2:50. Running a LiPo too low puffs the pack, shortens its life, and can sag mid-air and drop the quad. Most pilots land with around 3.5V/cell left — roughly a 20% reserve. The calculator’s “safe flight time” uses that, so don’t fly to the full-discharge number.
